Story submission

UNITeS welcomes stories from all organizations and individuals regarding volunteers who:

  • are building the capacity of people in the developing world to use and apply ICTs (computers, the Internet, handhelds, cell phones, radio, etc.)
  • are using ICTs to help people in the developing world regarding health, education, the environment, to prevent HIV/AIDS or to help those affected by such, agriculture, human rights, gender, and other areas of human development.
  • These stories MUST concern VOLUNTEERS.

    Your story must include:

  • the number of volunteers (a rough estimate is fine)
  • an overview of who the volunteers are (where are they from? Are they local or international? Are they mostly men? Women? Children?)
  • information on how these volunteers were recruited
  • details on the tasks the volunteers undertake
  • details on the IMPACT the volunteers have had in the community or with the organization they are helping
  • your FULL name and the FULL name of the organization that hosts these volunteers, as well as complete contact information for this organization (email address, phone, fax, web site, etc.)
  • We welcome other information, such as why volunteers are interested in helping the organization or the community, what benefits the volunteers have received through their participation, and why involvement of volunteers have been essential for the particular activity.

    Submit your story to: info@unites.org

All stories will be considered. UNITeS may contact you for further details. All stories are subject to editing for grammar and clarity by the UNITeS staff.

We are looking forward to hearing from you!
