Web Design and Training in ICT
An International UN Volunteer (IUNV) from Uganda, a Database and Web Specialist, was funded by the Japanese Trust Fund to serve in South Africa. From September 2000 to 2002, he supported SANGONeT, a non-profit Internet service provider reaching out to communities, in the development of websites. The IUNV assisted SANGONeT in providing services to its target beneficiaries and trained SANGONeT staff. In addition, he assisted poor communities by raising awareness of how ICTs can be used for practical purposes.
