Human Rights Development
From 7 to 28 January 2003, an International UN Volunteer (IUNV) from
Australian Volunteers International served in Kosovo under . He assisted UNDP in creating an interactive
online portal that highlights efforts to promote human rights development
in Kosovo and accepts online donations on behalf of small NGOs. The
IUNV helped to specify the platform for the creation of the site including
recommendations on the e-commerce facility and content management systems.
He followed up by assisting with the evaluation of tender responses.
Intranet Creation
In an assignment with the UNDP Kosovo Office, an IUNV from the George
Mason University, ,
developed a task-oriented Intranet. During the assignment, from June
to August 2002, his duties ranged from executing and structuring
the overall design, monitoring the site, ensuring Intranet security,
providing current updating and offering training for the staff.
