The Government of Tanzania has set up a National ICT Council to expand access to ICT training and Internet use in the country.

One international UNITeS Volunteer is working with the newly established Council, which is a joint venture of the Government, UNDP, and an e-think tank group. The Volunteer will

• support the activities of the Council;
• provide substantive advice to each member on ICT policies and strategies;
• develop outreach activities to institutions and companies served by the Council.
