Training and Capacity Building
One of the first ICT volunteering projects affiliated with UNITeS was the Technology Access Community Center (TACC) Luxor on the West Bank in Luxor. From June to July 2001, the National UN Volunteer (NUNV) devoted his time to a mix of program, technical, promotional and managerial tasks. He assisted members of the community using the Center's resources, organized training activities for the users, collected and distributed information regarding the Center and developed strategies to advance the purpose of the Center and its activities. He also maintained and updated the Center's website, computer equipment and all accessories; administered and maintained LAN user accounts, e-mail accounts, groups and distribution lists; maintained virus defense systems; and advised the Center's supervisor on the replacement of outdated or broken equipment.

Please read the Evaluation Mission Report of the TACCs project.
